Welcome to my culinary world! As a private chef and catering expert, I am excited to share my journey, experiences, and culinary philosophy with you. My name is Lars Lundin, and my mission is to bring the art of cooking to life through exquisite dishes that captivate the palate and create memorable gastronomic experiences for your special occasions.
Early Beginnings
My love for cooking began at an early age, inspired by the rich aromas and flavors that filled my mother's kitchen in Sweden. Growing up, I spent countless hours experimenting with ingredients and techniques, honing my skills and developing a deep passion for the culinary arts. This early passion laid the foundation for my future career as a chef.
Professional Training and Experience
I completed my formal culinary training at Ester Mosessons School of Culinary Arts in Gothenburg, Sweden, where I learned from some of the best chefs in the industry and refined my craft. After graduating, I had the privilege of working at Restaurant Gourmet in Stockholm, gaining invaluable experience. Then I moved to Madrid, Spain, to pursue a career as a private chef and catering professional, delivering personalized gastronomic experiences directly to my clients. Later, I arrived in Miami, where for over 15 years I have been a co-owner and executive chef at Food by chef Lars, Inc.
Culinary Philosophy
My culinary philosophy is based on the belief that food should be a celebration of flavors, textures, and colors. I strive to create dishes that are not only visually appealing but also deeply satisfying and nutritious. I am committed to using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and sustainable practices to ensure that every meal is both delicious and environmentally responsible.
Signature Dishes
Over the years, I have developed a repertoire of signature dishes that reflect my unique culinary style:
- Seared Grav Lax with Mustard and Dill Sauce: Swedish-style salmon, marinated for 48 hours and seared to perfection.
- Boutique Risottos: Risottos created to complement any main course, featuring a variety of flavors.
- Decadent Flourless Chocolate Tarte: A chocolate tart with a creamy interior and a crispy exterior, served with vanilla ice cream.
